Virginia City Preservation Alliance – Robber’s Roost and Linderman Cabin Feasibility Study

MHF will fund a Feasibility Study (FS)  for the historic Robber’s Roost property, outside of Laurin, Montana. The Virginia City Preservation Alliance owns the NRHP-listed property consisting of a two-story, 50′ x 20′ log structure and a one-room Linderman log cabin. Robber’s Roost has been a stage stop, saloon, boarding house, and dance hall located on the campsite of the 1863 Fairweather Party. Vacant for years, the FS will be used to guide the re-establishment of the Robber’s Roost site as a publicly accessible place for visitation, education, and recreation.
