Sheridan Public Library – Shelving Project
The Sheridan Public Library is the local repository for vast collections of over 3,000 historical resources relating to the town of Sheridan and the Ruby Valley. These resources include books, diaries, manuscripts, newspapers, and photographs. These documents are most frequently used by students, archivists, historians, researchers, history buffs, and professionals. The Sheridan Public Library’s collection of historical documents is impressive and will continue to grow; however, the library does not have adequate storage space, which means they cannot properly care for or expand their current collection. MHF’s grant to the Sheridan Public Library funded the installation of a new secure, compact, and environmentally stable shelving system for these historical archives.
