Sanders County Community Development Corp. – Interpretive Sign

The Clark Fork River corridor served as an important transportation route for the fur trade. The goal of the Thompson Falls Community Trails group is to better educate the community and visitors about the unique history of the Thompson Falls area, which was named after famed explorer David Thompson. The group is using MHF funds to design and install new interpretive signs along a new trail that extends from Thompson Falls State Park, along the Clark Fork River to the city of Thompson Falls. These interpretive signs will enhance the experience of trail users and give visitors a comprehensive understanding of the area’s rich natural and cultural history.
