Gallatin Historical Society – Clothing Storage

The Gallatin Historical Society is a repository of historic textiles, but until recently, there was little space for storing and viewing the archived clothing. The Society used a MHF grant to paint the archive room, install new lighting, and install new shelving. The most fragile material was stored in archival boxes, and MHF also funded the supplies the Society needed for storing hand-made quilts.

The families and individuals who donated sentimental artifacts to the museum can rest-assured knowing that the materials are being protected and receiving proper care.
