City of Livingston – Commercial Historic District Survey

The Livingston Commercial Historic District is essential to economic vitality, community character and quality of life in Livingston, Montana. The Livingston Commercial Historic District is a source of pride for residents and a genuine attraction for tourists who visit “the Original Gateway City to Yellowstone National Park.” Unfortunately, documentation of the Livingston Commercial Historic District is limited to a National Register nomination completed in 1979. This survey project, funded by The History Foundation, increased the efficiency and effectiveness of design review in Livingston. Each property within the historic district will be documented by a Montana Property Record Form.
