Dilemma in cow country: Helmville scrambles to save iconic rodeo grandstand

Last November at a town meeting at the Helmville Community Club the message was:  the rodeo arena's iconic wooden grandstand, built 90 years ago, had deteriorated to a point where each succeeding use is a dire threat to life, limb and liability.Last week the Helena-based Montana History Foundation announced it was awarding its maximum grant of $5,000 to the Helmville Rodeo Club to help save the grandstand.To read the full story from the Helena Independent Record, click on the link:  Helena IR cow country article
