BUTTE - Ever wonder if an antique you've had in the family is worth something? Well, you can find out this weekend in Butte.

The Montana History Foundation and Friends of the Butte Archives is hosting an appraisal fair at the Butte Civic Center Saturday and Sunday. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Butte Archives. Professional appraisers will be on hand to examine items brought in to determine if they have any value.“That old painting that grandma said was worth a lot and everybody didn't know who painted it can bring it in and find out who the artist was, or that jewelry or that silver spoon or that Evel Knievel outfit that you think is worth a lot of money, you can bring it in and find out,” said Montana History Foundation President Charlene Porsild. The event will go from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to noon on Sunday.
