The Stevensville Historical Museum used MHF funds to research, preserve and display information regarding the Salish history in the Bitterroot Valley and the early contacts with the first white settlers in the valley. Through this project the Stevensville Historical Museum developed relationships with many Salish representatives, particularly the Salish-Pend d’Oreille Culture Committee.
