The Extreme History Project – Bozeman Walking Tour

The Bozeman walking tour program began as a way to meet the need for more public history opportunities. The Extreme History Project used MHF funds to research, plan, and implement two new walking tours about the Chinese and African American communities in Bozeman. This project helped the development of historical walking tours that showcased history not often mentioned in Bozeman, nor in the founding of the west.

These walking tours were successful in reaching a large number of Bozeman community members and visitors. The community now has a much better understanding of the larger, collective history of this important place.
