Northern Cheyenne Language Consortium – Northern Cheyenne Level 1 Textbook

The Northern Cheyenne language faces the threat of extinction with only 1,200 speakers remaining. A History Foundation grant will fund the creation of a Level 1 textbook to give tribal members a structured way to learn their language for the first time. A final draft will be available by June 2021.
