Montana Historical Society – Livestock Brands Digitization

The Montana Historical Society (MHS) maintains historic Montana livestock brands from 1873 to 1980, both on microfilm and online, and assists the public with researching the history of their brands. MHS improved the images and metadata in the collection and added interpretation and instruction tools to aid in use of the collection. MHS also added brand records images and metadata to the online collection for years 1981 to 2010.
