Missoula Urban Development Project – 1872 Cider Mill Restoration

An 1872 Whitman’s Americus Cider Mill was recently donated to the Tool Library of the Missoula Urban Demonstration (MUD) Project. MUD restored the cider mill to a working artifact, sharing its history and use with the community. The restored mill will stay on site and be used under guidance of MUD staff. Along with instructions on how to press apples, MUD staff will relay the history of the historic cider mill and Montana’s apple tradition.
