The Mai Wah Society of Butte has been awarded a grant for the purchase and installation of UV window protection for the Mai Wah Noodle Parlore and Wah Chong Tai Co. The southern exposure windows at the museum leave the fragile artifacts constantly exposed to direct sunlight, which leads to deterioration and discoloration. UV protectant shades will save the collections by limiting exposure to dangerous sunlight.
