Hockaday Museum of Art – Photograph Preservation

Hockaday Museum of Art cataloged and properly stored a collection of slides and negatives of photographer Danny On’s work. With a concentration on Glacier National Park, these photographs combine art and natural history to explore the landscape, flora, fauna, and glaciers of the region, as well as document On’s contributions to Northwest Montana as a silviculturist with the Flathead National Forest, philanthropist, and author. The collection has recently been accessioned by the Hockaday after being stored in non-archival materials for over 40 years.
