Belt Theater Company – 1916 Knights of Pythias Building

The 1916 Knights of Pythias building in Belt, Montana is used for many community theatrical productions but could not be used to its full capacity. The only fire escape from the second floor, the pedestrian bridge connecting the building to Butte Street, was worn and unstable. MHF funded the Belt Theater Company to remove and replace the existing pedestrian bridge so the company could meet fire codes for the 1916 Knights of Pythias building. In doing so, the Belt Theater Company can once again use the second floor and take full advantage of the historic building’s space.

The Belt Theater Company hosts activities and programs such as dinner theaters and shows at the 1916 Knights of Pythias building—now known as the Belt Performing Arts Center. MHF is excited to help the Belt Theater Company preserve its historic building and support the thriving performing arts community in Belt.
