Bigfork Art & Cultural Center, “Building an Interactive Display,” Bigfork, $10,000 Grant: The Bigfork Art & Cultural Center will make an interactive permanent exhibit showcasing their underwater discoveries during archeological surveys in the vast waterways of Northwest Montana. Columbia Falls Historical Society, “Oral Histories,” Columbia Falls, $10,000 Grant: The Columbia Falls Historical Society will hire a videographer and interns to edit, transcribe, and share 16 oral history interviews from members of the community. Flathead Land Trust, “Historical Interpretive Panels,” Bigfork, $2,680 Grant: The Flathead Land Trust will create an interpretive panel displaying the indigenous influence and history of the Bigfork Harrell Forest. Learn more about the organization at https://www.flatheadlandtrust.org.


Fort Connah Restoration Society, “Repairs for Fort Connah,” Saint Ignatius, $10,000 Grant: The Fort Connah Restoration Society will repair the rotting sill logs on Montana’s oldest standing building and two fur trapper cabins from the 1860s. Mission Valley Friends of the Arts, “Historic Log Building Preservation,” Polson, $10,000: The Mission Valley Friends of the Arts will hire experts to repair and replace logs on the historic building that currently houses the Port Polson Players Theater. Missoula Art Museum, “Documenting Institutional History,” Missoula, $10,000 Grant: The Missoula Art Museum will digitize archival materials and create an image record of their collection’s objects as part of the organization’s 50-year celebration. Ninepipes Museum, “Voices that Shaped the Ninepipes Museum,” Charlo, $10,000 Grant: Ninepipes Museum will develop and implement a multi-year educational program that shares the unique history contained within their collection. Learn more about the organization at https://ninepipesmuseum.org.


Paradise Center, “Mini Roundhouse Exhibits,” Paradise, $10,000 Grant: The Paradise Center will display and interpret large artifacts and equipment that showcase the town’s railroad history. Learn more about the organization at https://www.paradisecentermt.org.
